Colombia is Latin America’s fourth-largest economy and has shown robust economic growth exceeding the regional average over the past decade. As a member of the Pacific Alliance and OECD, Colombia promotes open-market policies and international trade.

The country is one of the most biodiverse in the world with a lot of unlocked potential after years of internal conflict to be discovered. Its economy is heavily reliant on petroleum exports but increasingly promotes tourism.

Colombia exhibits severe wealth inequality, ranking among the world’s most unequal societies. Nearly half of the population remains employed in the informal sector.
